Ninth Annual Dick and Tunky Riley WhatWorksSC Award Celebration

Presented by the Riley Institute and Aflac

On November 12, 2019, former U.S. Secretary of Education Dick Riley and presenting sponsor Aflac named the Carolina Teacher Induction Program as the winner of the Dick and Tunky Riley WhatWorksSC Award for Excellence. Finalists Pickens County Career and Technology Center and Wings for Kids were also recognized. Special guest Danny Merck, superintendent of Pickens County School District, joined Secretary Riley for an on-stage conversation about current issues in public education.
