EDWorks: Riley School for Leadership and Public Service

The Riley Institute and EDWorks collaborated to design the Riley School for Leadership and Public Service, a national school improvement model designed to foster the ideals of public service in high school students while improving educational outcomes in once low-achieving schools.

Through readings, media, virtual partnerships, visiting fellows and field trips, Riley School students will be immersed in the stories of the world’s great change agents, from Mother Theresa to Martin Luther King to the local woman who spearheaded the drive for a crosswalk, a library, a medical clinic. Through service, they will bring those lessons home in a two-year service project. They will emerge inspired, engaged, and empowered.

They will change their worlds.

Products for the school include the four-year curriculum, several short courses, and extensive teacher professional development materials to support teachers and school leaders as they put this transformative model in place. Read more about EDWorks.
