Deedee Corradini

The country has lost a strong advocate and leader for women in civic life with the passing of former Salt Lake City mayor, President of the National League of Mayors, and President of the International Women's Forum, Dee Dee Corradini.

As a Senior Distinguished Fellow in Urban Government and Women and Politics at the Riley Institute, Dee Dee was instrumental in the early development of the Riley Institute at Furman's Women and Politics program that has brought a number of prominent women leaders to Furman including former Canadian Prime Minister Kim Campbell, and journalist Lesley Stahl. She also was a leader in the Riley Institute's award winning Emerging Public Leaders program creating a strong presence and example for young women from high schools across South Carolina.

We will miss Dee Dee Corradini's great spirit, her model of energetic leadership, and her friendly and personable way of creating leadership opportunities for women for the Riley Institute and for women and others across the country and around the world.
