2016 Leadership Summit Greenville

November 9-11, 2016
8:46am - 8:46am

On November 9 – 11, leaders from across the national New Tech Network met in Greenville to discuss leadership, school development, and to make connections with their colleagues across the nationwide network. The keynote was a conversation between former U.S. Secretary of Education and South Carolina Governor Richard W. Riley and New Tech Network President and CEO Lydia Dobyns. Nearly 200 leaders from across the country attended the summit. Summit excursions included visits to two of Greenville County’s three New Tech Network schools (Carolina High School and J.L. Mann High School), as well as to Furman’s campus for a diversity workshop hosted by the Riley Institute. The South Carolina network of New Tech Schools has expanded from two in 2012 to ten in 2016, with further expansion in 2017-18.
