Marion: ReCapturing Kids Hearts

Recapturing Kids Hearts, a community action project which will bring together a diverse group of people to impact the lives of some of our students who are in the most need, seeks to provide them with opportunities to be college and/or career ready. The district’s mission is to educate, prepare and inspire all students and this includes students who are at-risk of not being college and/or career ready due to various factors.

Our Mission Statement: Through M.A.L.E. C.A.L.L., adult male role models and representatives from the Rock Hill Police Department will actively seek to establish a strong bond with middle school male students while instilling in them positive character traits, respect for others, and the value of education to assist them in becoming well-rounded, young men of integrity who contribute to the society in which they live.

Spartanburg 6: Cavaliers Care

The Cavaliers Care Program is a program designed to provide support resources for students that help them focus on career goals, making better decisions, overcoming adversity and obstacles, improve soft skills, and improve their overall academic achievement. Students that have made poor choices are referred to the program instead of being suspended out of school for long periods. The program keeps students at school where we can provide counseling and support designed to help them to be successful.

Union: Arresting Hunger

Arresting Hunger is a collaborative effort between Union County Schools and local law enforcement agencies to provide backpacks of food for identified middle school students so that they will be fed on weekends. The team has reached out to local businesses, industries, and faith-based partners to help initiate, grow, and sustain the project through both monetary contributions and donations of specific food items.
