Mutahi Kagwe
member of the Kenyan Parliament

The Honorable Mutahi Kagwe was a member of the Kenyan Parliament and was in residence at Furman from September 21-26, 2003. Bwana Kagwe’s visit to the United States was made possible by the Department of State and was focused, among other things, on gathering information on how the American budget process works at the local, state and national levels.

Mutahi Kagwe was a leader in the opposition to the autocratic rule of former Kenyan President Daniel arap Moi, a former commercial editor of The Economic Review newspaper, and CEO of the largest public relations firm in East Africa.
